The professionals not only work directly with the body, but also teach women to become aware of their own bodies so that they better understand how they function.

Urogynecological physiotherapy – what does a visit look like?

During the first visit to a urogynaecological physiotherapist, the interview is very important. Among other things, the specialist asks questions about the patient’s state of health and carefully analyses the problem she has. Thanks to an accurate and precise anamnesis, he can suggest the most suitable treatment for the woman in question. The next step of the visit is a transvaginal examination to determine the tone of the pelvic floor muscles. The specialist also assesses any scars from perineal sutures or caesarean sections. After the examination, the physiotherapist shows the exercises that the woman should do regularly at home. In this way, the best possible results of the entire therapy can be achieved.
